About

The Mid-Maine Global Forum contributes to the local community’s understanding of issues of global significance by organizing and disseminating informed public presentations and discussion

History

The Mid-Maine Global Forum was founded in 1997 by Linda K. Cotter to promote the discussion of international affairs in Central Maine. Our non-partisan group organizes lectures, study groups and discussions on timely global topics. Events, usually around lunch, are open to the public.

We are grateful for the continuing support of Waterville Rotary for financial support,  Colby College for the generous use of the Chace Center and other facilities for the summer  program, The Margaret Chase Smith Library and the Holocaust and Human Rights Center at the University of Maine Augusta so sponsoring events as part of the Global Forum.

School Outreach

The Mid-Maine Global Forum provides opportunities for students and a teacher from each area high school (Waterville, Fairfield, Messalonskee, and Winslow) to attend the luncheon programs without charge. For more information please contact Global Forum.
