Dr. Jane Hale received her Ph.D in French at Stanford University. She teaches Comparative Literature: Reading, Writing, and Teaching Across Cultures; Literacy, Language, and Culture; and The Theater of the Absurd. She also teaches First-Year University Seminars in the Humanities: Literacy and Development, and Becoming an Educated Person. She has published books and articles including a series of children’s books developed and published in Lesotho in conjunction with Basotho artists and writers.
