Dr. Patrice Franko

Dr. Patrice Franko, the Grossman Professor of Economics at Colby College, earned her B.A. cum laude in economics and psychology at Bucknell University and her M.A. and Ph.D. in economics at University of Notre Dame. She has written books (The Puzzle of Economic Development in Latin America) and published numerous articles and reports. A gifted speaker, she has delivered dozens of public addresses and reports. Her current research is on Determinants of Corporate Social Responsibility in Brazil. Patrice is an invaluable member of the Mid-Maine Global Forum board of directors, helping to recruit experts to share their knowledge with the central Maine community through our monthly programs. Patrice last spoke to us in 2004 on “Challenges to Sustainable Growth in Latin America.”
