Larry Durkin

Larry Durkin is “Water For People Chair” of the “New England Water Works Association” whose motto is “Our vision is a world where all people have access to safe drinking water and adequate sanitation; a world where no child suffers or dies from a water-related disease.” For more information see: www.waterforpeople.org & www.newwa.org. Larry is a civil engineer, specializing in drinking water. He volunteered with the US Peace Corps, 1987-90 in Lesotho, South Africa where he managed a14-person office that surveyed, designed, constructed, and maintained spring-fed gravity village water supply systems. He is from Massachusetts and has a Bachelor of Science in Forest Engineering from the University of Maine (Orono) and a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of New Hampshire.
